RUST CONVERTER-4 Liter/Pail
Rust converter is usually applied to objects that are difficult to sand blast, such as vehicles, trailers, fences, iron railings, sheet metal, and the outside of storage tanks. It may also be used to restore and preserve iron-based items of historical importance.
Rust Converter should only be applied to the rusted areas, not the whole surface. After the Rust Converter has completely dry, it is recommended to wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove all excess Rust Converter before you apply the oil-based paint.
Introduction
SealXpert® Rust Converter is a concentrated acidic
cleaner. It contains phosphoric acid and non-ionic
surfactants. SealXpert® Rust Converter is formulated to
effectively convert rust into an inert protective black
polymeric coating that adheres firmly on metal surfaces,
preventing further corrosion.

Typical Applications
Used on rusted galvanised roofs or surfaces, ornamental ironwork, fencing, structural steel, automotive panels, rusted nuts and bolts and hand tools.

Direction for Use
- Remove all loose rust with a wire-brush. Scrap off to a thin layer before application if the rust is too thick.
- Ensure that surface is cleaned and oil-free before application.
- Shake Bottle well before use.
- Using a brush or roller, apply a generous layer of SealXpert® Rust Converter onto the rusty surface.
- Leave it for at least 8 hours to cure thoroughly. To accelerate curing process, apply & leave it under the sun.
- For maximum protection, apply 2 layers of coats.
- If re-painting is required, apply 1 coat and paint over.
- For much enhanced protection, apply SP30 Zinc Cold-Galvanising Spray.

Keep away from fire and avoid high temperature.
It’s recommended to use with adequate ventilation.
In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse with clean water immediately.

Recommended Storage:
Store in a cool, well-ventilated area.
When stored at or below 20°C (68°F) in the original
unopened containers, this product has a useable life of 24 months from the date of production.
